Serenity

Serenity

Serene are the eyes of the child on the shore,
Whose eyes bear witness to the golden dawn,
And to the kings of the sunrise, saluting the day,
Crowned by sunlight and backlit with faith.

Serene is the heart of the girl embraced by the joy,
Whose heart holds the key to a future so bright.
Of gilded treetops bearing crowns of gold,
Of a landscape caressed by a gossamer breath.

Serene is the soul of the woman giving thanks for life’s journey,
For all that has been, and all yet to come.
The child –
The girl –
The woman.
Her essence dissolves within the mists of time,
Leaving only golden reflections of her eternal serenity.
